Jay Leno : tonight show

1/13/14 OUTSIDE the TONIGHT SHOW...nice Lady next to me..the show began with an episode of "Headlines" almost always funny; then Jennifer Lopez was the first guest, ..she talked about trying to make a puerto rico dish for Christmas at her Long Island home..and they showed an old clip of J-lo's first appearance on the Tonight Show 16 years ago...wow..! I saw her hollywood star ceremony as well a few months ago. And then Aaron Eckhart came on...he first mentioned skiing at Mammoth ..and a lot about his mom,..and a house in Montana..and showed a clip from a new-age Frankenstein movie he just finisshed...then a comedian..didn't catch his name..some funny lines..and finally which will apparently NOT be shown tonight...Dorrian Holley did a tribute to Michael Jackson..a solo version of "Billy Jean" with one guitar accompaing him.Dorian was the "vocal coach" for Michael Jackson, and he is currently a vocalist for the Tonight Show band. So I got a desk ticket this morning at 10am,and returned around 1pm,,and we waited until 3:30 to enter the studio. Nice lady next to me didn't have a ticket and lucky for her I happened to have an extra. She was from west virginia and just moved here..very inspirational to feel her enthusiasm in being here..she really loves southern Cal..and the crowd control person picked her out and gave her a free tonight show stuffed bear. Good show,..the countdoww to Jay's last show continues. He even mentioned Jimmy Fallon in his opening monologue...its in the back of everybody's mind..wonder what they have planned for the final show? Wonder if I can get a ticket?

back in the "holding area"

this lady (lady #1) was in front of me in line and was with her son, but her son apparently SPRAINED HIS ANKLE as he was walking towards the tonight show with his mom...so she left him behind for the moment thinking she would get in line and he would catch up, but he didn't show up, so she went to find him, and I saw the two of them a while later and he was SERIOUSLY LIMPING almost unable to put any pressure on one foot...so she came back to us just as we were about to enter the line because she was going to let another lady (lady #2, not shown) in front of me get in on their ticket...they had an email ticket with capacity for three I guess, and lady #2 just showed up without a ticket hoping somebody might have an extra. Lady #1 still thought she was going to try to get in with her son despite the severely sprained ankle, but they were going to the back of the line...LO and BEHOLD to make a long story a bit shorter, I had an extra ticket and gave it to lady #2 so she didn't have to go to the back with lady #1 and her son who probably wouldn't get in if they were in the very back...so sad for them. That's a bit of misfortune. Hopefully, the Tonight Show staff gave them tickets for the next day or something to make them feel better, and hopefully they're not from far away with all their hopes up to see the show.

this is where you SIT & WAIT, on LONG BENCHES...it's not much to complain about..time usually goes fairly quick, but you would think they might put some screens with something entertaining for people...but then maybe they want people to become kind of bored and worn out so that the show seems ALL the MORE FUNNY and ENTERTAINING...what do you think, is it purposeful ?
